Trimbach Builders & Design Studio is an integrated design and construction studio based in Bozeman, Montana. The studio produces architecturally-driven residential work, rooted in performance, durability, and clarity of form. Each project is developed with careful attention to proportion, material, and environmental response, creating homes that feel calm, enduring, and connected to their surroundings.

Our work is guided by the belief that a home should support health, daily life, and long-term durability. Light, air quality, thermal comfort, and acoustic control are considered alongside structure, enclosure, and spatial organization. These principles inform decisions from the earliest stages of design through construction, allowing performance and architectural intent to evolve together.

By uniting design and construction within one business, projects are considered as complete systems rather than separate phases. Site, climate, structure, and interior experience are developed together. This ensures continuity between concept and execution. The studio also works in design-only and build-only roles, bringing the same integrated perspective to each.

Relationships are central to how we operate. We collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and craftspeople who value thoughtful process and disciplined execution. Our role is to listen closely, coordinate thoroughly, and guide each project with clarity and care.

The studio is led by Austin and Bob Trimbach, who remain directly involved in each project from initial concept through construction. Their work reflects a deep understanding of structural systems, materials, and building science, informed by hands-on construction experience as well as design leadership. The studio remains intentionally small, allowing consistent involvement, direct communication, and careful attention to every project.
