ATSINA

This project was designed and built as a speculative home. This provided an opportunity for the Trimbach team to make all design and construction decisions. The build site was chosen for its unique in-town feel, with a close relationship to mature pines, mountain views, and desirable southern exposure.

The site had numerous constraints with a small buildable envelope, existing neighbors tight against five-foot setbacks, a fronting street to the west, and an alley to the south. These constraints drove a design with a central courtyard to the south and pushed the building to the setbacks. Satin etch glazing was used at window locations where a view was not desirable, making the home private while allowing for ample daylighting.

Trimbach’s design scope of work included building design*, interior design, architectural steel shop drawings, and landscape design.

Trimbach’s build scope of work included general contracting/project management, wood framing, structural steel erection, weatherization & glazing installation, siding installation, ipe hardwood decking installation, steel railing installation, all interior trim carpentry, custom cabinetry fabrication & installation, and slat wall fabrication & installation.

*The permit drawing set was completed by Plum Design Lab.
